A community of curious beginners & traditional food enthusiasts.
Learn traditional skills adapted for small kitchens & busy schedules - one month at a time.
WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER RECIPE WEBSITE.
We’re the first generation that needs YouTube to learn what every generation before us knew by heart.
We've felt that overwhelm too…endless conflicting advice online, no family nearby to just show us how. What changed everything wasn't more information, it was people: a neighbor's sourdough starter, a friend who knew the local farms. That's why the Collective exists - not just to teach you, but to be the people you learn alongside.
You don’t need:
a bunch of land
a huge kitchen.
to quit your job and raise chickens.
You just need curiosity, and a willingness to try.

FAQs
What do I get each month? The Starter Track is twelve months and twelve traditional skills, in an order that builds confidence. Each month unlocks a beautifully designed guide written for someone who's never done it before - step by step, with recipes to actually put the skill to use and printable sheets for the fridge. It's yours to download and keep. Plus, you’ll get weekly encouragement and check-in emails, and a curated monthly Spotify playlist.
Is there a community? Our Discord is the heart of this. It's where you ask what went wrong with your starter at 10pm, where someone three months ahead tells you the thing that took them three failed batches to learn. We gather in person and online, too - the skills land differently when you're doing them with others.
Why not everything at once? You don't get all twelve at once because that leads to overwhelm and inaction. One skill a month is focused and long enough to learn it, make it a few times, and have it stick. Everyone begins at month one and moves through the same twelve skills on their own schedule. You might be on month 1 while others are on month 3. This is intentional and maximizes learning and sharing.

“It’s rare to find a community that is both informative and welcoming, and Roots & Revival has truly created that. The monthly guide is always packed with thoughtful, informative content. The Discord community exchanges are respectful and full of useful insights. It feels like a space where people genuinely want to learn from one another and support each other. I’m grateful to be part of it.”
Nora Z., Collective Member“I’m so grateful for this community! After years of not knowing where to start or how to troubleshoot, I finally started working with sourdough. I’ve made cinnamon rolls, rosemary crackers, sweet blueberry bread, and beautiful, delicious and healthful loaves to share with family and friends!
It’s so much easier to get started with a group of supportive and experienced people. Thank you Roots & Revival for helping my home align more with what I want for my family.”
Gina VL., Collective Member“I love this community! They’ve inspired me so much to really focus on cooking healthy local foods more often.”
