Privacy Policy

═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
At Roots and Revival Collective, we believe in transparency—not just about where our food comes from, but about how we handle your information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
What We Collect
We keep things simple. Here's what we gather:
**Contact Information:** Your name and email address when you sign up for our newsletter, register for an event, or become a member.
**Payment Information:** When you purchase a membership, your payment is processed securely through Squarespace. We do not store your credit card details directly—that's handled by Squarespace's payment processor.
**Website Analytics:** We use Squarespace Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This includes general information like which pages people visit and how long they stay, but it doesn't identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Send you our newsletter with traditional skills tips, upcoming events, and community updates
- Confirm your registration for workshops and events
- Process your membership and keep you informed about member benefits
- Improve our website and understand what content resonates with our community
We will never sell your information to third parties. That's not the kind of community we're building.
Third-Party Services We Use
To run Roots and Revival, we work with a few trusted services:
**Squarespace** hosts our website, processes membership payments, and provides analytics. You can read their privacy policy at squarespace.com/privacy.
**ConvertKit** manages our email newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address is stored with ConvertKit. Their privacy policy is at convertkit.com/privacy.
**Eventbrite** handles registration for some of our events. When you sign up for an event through Eventbrite, your information is subject to their privacy policy at eventbrite.com/support/articles/en_US/Troubleshooting/eventbrite-privacy-policy.
These services have their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review them. We've chosen partners who take data protection seriously.
Your Choices
You're in control of your information:
**Unsubscribe anytime:** Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list.
**Request your data:** Want to know what information we have about you? Just ask.
**Request deletion:** If you'd like us to delete your information, we're happy to do so. Note that this may affect your membership or event registrations.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies—small files stored on your device—to help the site function properly and to gather anonymous analytics. Squarespace sets these cookies automatically. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the site works for you.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Our website uses SSL encryption, and our third-party partners maintain their own security standards. That said, no system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through our newsletter or by posting a notice on our website. The date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
