Pear, Vanilla & Lime Jam
Ingredients
3 Bartlett pairs, or equal amount of smaller edible pears from your yard
1/4-1/2 cup sugar (I prefer my jams less sweet)
1/4 cup water
Juice of half of a large lime
Directions
Peel the pears and cut into smaller chunks
Combine pear, sugar, and water in a small saucepan
Bring to boil then let simmer for 20-25 mins until pears are easily smashed
Use a masher to mash the pears to a jam like consistency
Remove from heat and add the lime juice
Let cool on the counter top, then transfer to fridge.
